NovaLinc takes an inclusive approach to membership that includes high-quality independent physicians and Novant Health physicians to participate in NovaLinc governance and operational responsibilities.

No. NovaLinc will require providers to invest time in operating the network but will not require a membership fee. Operations examples include:

• Involvement in the detailed development of evidence-based clinical best practice guidelines
• Ongoing practice improvement initiatives within NovaLinc

However, current credentialing fees will apply, and providers will need to meet NovaLinc infrastructure requirements.

Yes. NovaLinc has no requirement to work exclusively with a single network. The only potential exception is participation in a Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO). In a Medicare ACO, providers with "attributed lives" may only participate in one ACO. This typically, though not always, impacts primary care physicians rather than specialists.
